Clients can access a Medicare rebate for Psychology sessions if they have a Mental Health Care Plan. The Mental Health Care Plan must be obtained from a GP and provided to Brainwave prior to claiming.  Clients pay the full fee of $210 at the time of the appointment and then will receive a rebate following their session (at the time of the appointment or shortly thereafter).

Brainwave is not NDIS registered, but can provide services to self-managed and plan-managed participants (and provide an invoice).  If you are accessing Capacity Building Supports for Early Childhood Interventions through the NDIA (under 7 years), or therapeutic services to participants through the NDIS (over 7 years) , the rate for services and travel is $234.83 per hour.

Brainwave can provide invoices that may be able to be used for private health insurance rebates for assessment and therapy. You will need to consult with your insurance company to determine what is covered.

Providing at least 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment helps us to keep your session costs down, maximises our availability to clients and minimises lost clinical time. Appointments missed or rescheduled without 24 hours notice will incur the full fee which you must pay prior to your next scheduled appointment. It is important to note that Third Party funders do not pay late cancellation or missed appointment fees. These are your responsibility even if your treatment is normally funded by a Third Party.

If you are late for an appointment your session may be less than 50 minutes in duration. Please note you will need to pay the full amount in these circumstances, however your insurance rebate (if any) may be reduced. If you provide a mobile number or email address, a reminder message will be sent the day before your appointment. This is a courtesy reminder only. If for any reason you did not receive a reminder message and missed your appointment you will still need to pay the late missed appointment fee. If ever in doubt please feel free to telephone to confirm an appointment.
